This one goes out to all the parents of babies who don’t sleep, night after night. The ones who wake up the second they sense that you’re leaving their side. You’ve tried everything that you’re willing to try, you’ve read every book and every article and felt like garbage because other parents get their kids to sleep and you just can’t. You’re not willing to let them scream themselves to sleep, because they’re little and you’re their mama or daddy and they need you. Viscerally. Your comforting arms give them safe passage to sleep. They trust you, and you just can’t break that trust. Just wanted you to know you’re not alone. We’ll get through it together, and ’til then we’ll drink coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
